About Lt. Col. Dr. Mohammad Tarequl Islam

Lt Colonel Dr. Mohammad Tarequl Islam is a leading surgical specialist in Bangladesh, known for his precision, professionalism, and compassionate care. He completed his MBBS in 2009 from Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital, Dhaka, and began his surgical journey with Bangladesh Army afterward. He has been awarded with Army Medal of Glory/ Shena Gourab Padak (SGP) for his outstanding performance as a doctor in Bangladesh Army.

He holds the highest national credential with MCPS (2019) and FCPS (2020) in Surgery from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). In 2025, he earned the prestigious Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS, USA), marking his alignment with global standards in ethical and technical excellence.

With over 10 years of surgical experience, Dr. Tareq currently serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery at Navy Medical College, Chattogram, and a Consultant Surgeon at Navy Hospital.
